Race Report – Kingston Lacy – Half Marathon

I just came home from this fantastic little half marathon organised by Votwo Events and Adventure Ltd and I have to say I had a lot of fun.  I came 14th in a time just outside 1hr 30mins (missed it by 30 seconds!) but took the usual photos on the way around.  Was trying to chase a chap called Lloyd most of the way around but it wasn’t to be, he had better legs.  Kingston Lacy is a lovely country house set in some fantastic grounds, now owed by the National Trust.  A local chap was telling me how just outside the grounds in Shapwick an annual mile race is held in memory of Charles Bennet, the first Brit to run the Olympic Mile and Olympic Champion.

    Hi Kris,

I’m so glad you enjoyed the Kingston Lacy Half on Sunday. Would it be ok to link your race report to the website for next years event?

    Many thanks,
    Claire
